Spring Awakening is a musical, which won a Tony Award. This rock musical has been organized by Duncan Sheik and book and lyrics by Steven Sater. The musical is the ionic form of one of the most controversial German play with the same title by Frank Wedekind, in 1891 if. Play is set in the last decade the nineteenth-century Germany. Sheik's guitar, which was used for the composition of songs for the musical is on display at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts.
