Lyrics Make Her Say

How to sing the words to Miku vocaloid program, I'm having trouble making her sing the lyrics.?

I have the Vocaloid program and none sites actually tell me how. I keep trying to say either lyrics in Japanese or English and she continues to voice pure and letters in all, any idea on how to make your say something? Instructions?
