Nat and Alex Wolfe: The Next Big Thing

When your mother is an actress and her father is a jazz pianist of the chances that you end up in show business are quite good. Yet, even with his side's pedigree Nat and Alex Wolfe continues to defy the odds to become rock stars before they were 10 years of age.

Nat and Alex Wolfe are brothers in real life, that made "The Naked Brothers Band" before even being in school. The name came after the brothers jumped from the tub and began to sing "we are the naked brothers band!" Indeed, there is a similar story involving Liam and Noel Gallagher of Oasis.

Nat was born in 1994 and Alex in 97. Most of us own CD's more than that.

While in preschool, Nat formed a band with his friends most of them had parents like called The Silver Boulders. The band borrowed "silver" by The Silver Beatles (the original name of the Beatles) and "rocks" is a synonym for the word "rocks" as in the Rolling Stones.

Nat plays keyboard, while Alex, inspired by Ringo Starr, plays drums. Both write songs.

When Nat and Alex were 9 and 6, respectively, were to record a demo with his father Michael Wolfe (former band leader and musical director The Arsenio Hall Show). That was when her mother, Polly Draper (former star of the TV series thirtysomething) had the idea of a mock documentary about the band.

Thus, The Naked Brothers Band: The Movie was born.

This low-budget independent film featured a number of celebrities, most Wolfe Draper and friends and the whole cast of thritysomething. Despite featuring the entire cast of thirtysomething, The movie was good enough to attract attention Nickelodeon.

After some arm twisting the original (the parents were reluctant to put their children on television), the network believes Draper and Wolfe, in turn, The Naked Brothers television series.

The series started in February 2007 and is now in its third season. One of the shows Nickelodeon's highest rated in history.

Now fans can buy tickets for Nat and Alex Wolfe as the brothers embark on its second national tour. These guys are , made two tours of America before finishing high school. Fans can catch the brothers in the cities of Anaheim, Dallas, Los Vegas and New Orleans.

Cynics may be tempted to think Nat and Alex got into the limelight by over bearing parents. However, Draper and Wolfe do not need to live through their children, who have had success in the entertainment world.

Of course, Draper is now regulated to results starring in Law and Order and CSI, but still being an accomplished actress. Wolfe can not be a household name, but has had an impressive and successful career in music.

Anyone seeking children are a paycheck. Besides living off money thirties and Arsenio Hall Show, the brother is Tim Draper of Draper, the man widely acknowledged as the creation of "marketing Viral. "Indeed, the Drapers come from long line of venture capitalists. As you can see, there is pressure on Nat and Alex to be breadwinners.

Clearly, these Kids Want to Rock and obviously are not pushing beyond their capacity to cope with the fame of the fathers of hunger, but what about your music? There may well be nothing more than vapid teeny-Boppers playing shallow, obnoxious pop gum?

You might think so, but that's not the case.

Make sure your letters do not have the maturity needed to appeal to adults, but these guys really are talented. It would not be surprised if Wolfe Brothers grow and be successful and relevant careers in the music industry.

This comes as good news for parents forced to chaperon their children to Nat and Alex Wolfe concerts in Englewood or Houston, for example. The brothers' music was highly influenced by the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, is much better than anything you will hear in a concert by Miley Cyrus.
